Represents a video source and supports renderer-neutral trimming, cutting, cropping, transformations, saving, metadata queries, copying, and native display. Video rendering requires FFmpeg and ffprobe.

Availability: ZPE 1.14.11 is the first version to support the Video object.

Object functions

• construct [1.14.11+]

  Initialises a Video object, optionally opening a video from its source.

• copy [1.14.11+]

  Returns a copy of the video object.

• crop [1.14.11+]

  Crops the video to the rectangle beginning at x and y with the specified width and height.

• cut [1.14.11+]

  Splits the video into two video objects at a position.

• darken [1.14.11+]

  Darkens the video.

• display [1.14.11+]

  Displays the video using the native video player.

• duration [1.14.11+]

  Returns the video duration.

• height [1.14.11+]

  Returns the video height.

• open [1.14.11+]

  Opens the video from its source.

• save [1.14.11+]

  Renders the video and saves it to a file.

• transform_brightness [1.14.11+]

  Adjusts the video brightness.

• transform_contrast [1.14.11+]

  Adjusts the video contrast.

• transform_crop [1.14.11+]

  Crops the video to the rectangle beginning at x and y with the specified width and height.

• transform_flip_horizontal [1.14.11+]

  Flips the video horizontally.

• transform_flip_vertical [1.14.11+]

  Flips the video vertically.

• transform_greyscale [1.14.11+]

  Converts the video to greyscale.

• transform_invert_color [1.14.11+]

  Inverts the video colours.

• transform_opacity [1.14.11+]

  Adjusts the video opacity.

• transform_resize [1.14.11+]

  Resizes the video.

• transform_rotate [1.14.11+]

  Rotates the video by the specified number of degrees.

• transform_sepia [1.14.11+]

  Applies a sepia effect to the video.

• trim [1.14.11+]

  Sets the start and end positions used when rendering the video.

• width [1.14.11+]

  Returns the video width.
