In Visual Basic, a comment is represented by an apostrophe (
The line starts with an apostrophe. This represents that a piece
of text that should be ignored as a piece of code. A comment is
not compiled by the compiler. The purpose of a comment is to inform
the programmer what the line below or above does. It is only visible
in the text editor.
