Marty Robot

BGE Computing

J Balfour 2022

What this lesson is about

In this lesson you will continue to use the Marty Robot, but in a in a much more collaborative way in which the whole class will be involved.

In this lesson the whole class will be working together.

Within your group, one person will act as the liason (this means they, and only they, are allowed to talk to other groups).

What your dance needs to be

Since this is Computing, your dance will be a series of instructions that are well-coordinated by agreeing with other groups about timings.

  1. Decide who you want to be the liason for your group.
  2. Decide between all teams what the dance will look like. You may want to have one Marty leading the class.

Marty cannot communicate

There is no way to get the Marty Robots to communicate, directly at least. Timings are so important for the dance to work effectively.

Thinking back to the Scratch lessons, how did we prevent the characters speaking over each other?
